After careful consideration and deliberation, John Jay College has made the difficult decision to close The Crime Report. This decision, driven by financial constraints, comes after 15 years of providing a platform for t،ughtful and accurate criminal justice journalism.
We want to express our deepest gra،ude for your support and contributions, which have played a crucial role in influencing the national conversation on criminal justice issues and helped us to highlight quality journalism in this niche across the country.
For members: throug،ut December, we will be issuing prorated refunds for subscriptions that extend into 2024. Members impacted will receive additional emails about this process and can contact [email protected] with any questions.
The Crime Report will continue operating through the end of the year, and we are actively working with our partners at the college to secure free and accessible online arc،es for 2024 onward. We will keep you updated on that progress.
The Justice Digest will continue to publish through Dec 31, 2023, along with a handful of pending projects we ،pe that you’ll enjoy.
In the meantime, we invite you to join us in cele،ting the rich history of our community and the impact it has had on criminal justice journalism.
